Filmara
ACCEPTABLE USE

What you may make.

Last updated 27 October 2026

Filmara is for telling stories: writing a film and seeing it before you shoot it. This policy says what you may and may not make with it. It is part of our terms, and it applies to everything you write, prompt, upload or render in Filmara, including on an account you connect.

What you may make

  • Your own stories, characters and worlds, in any genre, including dark and violent drama.
  • Images of your own fictional characters, and reference images of them that you made or have the right to use.
  • Images of real people who have agreed to it, such as your cast, for your project.
  • Work based on material you own, have licensed, or that is in the public domain.

What you may not make

  • Sexual, explicit or sexually suggestive images or video, of anyone, real or fictional.
  • Any sexual content involving a minor, in any form. We report it to the authorities.
  • A real person’s likeness without their consent.
  • Deepfakes, face swaps or any manipulation of a real person’s face or voice, and anything that impersonates a real person or passes off what you made as real.
  • Content that harasses, threatens or incites violence or hatred against anyone.
  • Content that is illegal where you are, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Do not try to get around these limits, for example by wording a prompt to slip past them, and do not use Filmara to build a service that does what this policy forbids.

What happens if it is broken

Before an image or video renders, its prompt may be screened automatically, and refused if it breaks this policy; a prompt refused this way costs no credits. We may also remove what was made, and suspend or close the account that made it. If the law requires it, we report it. Credits left on an account closed for breaking this policy are lost.

Telling us

Filmara is where a storyteller sees the whole film — every decision together — before committing to any of it.
